You blew cigar smoke in my face
When you go to an Earth Day festival and drink Heineken and listen to speeches and see some music that will give you SERIOUS hippy cred, all you want to do is ride your bike home as fast as you can, drink a cider over ice, and listen to new music FULL BLAST. Russian Red. Some sort of apple nonsense. Obsessing over bangs. Frenchie white nail polish. Fatty tumor on your newly 7 year old angel/pet. Designs waiting to be organized and formatted. Your lips begging to kiss someone. Books and magazines asking to be fondled. New life decisions on their knees.

I Was Made For You
I’m finally able to chill out a little bit. I worked an exhibit in the library tonight (briefly, due to malfunctioning technology). I got some kiddos to watch, learn, and record themselves dancing hip-hop and traditional African dance, which is success to me. Until the program went retarded. By the way, here is a shameless plug.

Despite my tendency to read books about Buddhism (correction: spend all day hunched up reading, investigating, and analyzing and making my head swirl) and by the Dalai Lama, I didn’t actually know the sordid details of the whole Free Tibet movement (I’m ashamed to say). I did some research today and feel a little bit better (uhm, horrified) about the whole thing. Not only do I read Dalai Lama books when I fly to calm myself down about the prospect of dying, I had a sex dream about Richard Gere recently. WTF. What is that all about? I guess it could be worse.
I’m finally getting a chance to rest, which means cranky child syndrome might be over. Time to find some religion.

I scored
A new hair cut and style
Some tall vintage boots
An Imitation of Christ denim jumper
The She & Him album
A pretty dress
Another pretty dress that proves that I have a waist!
Candy colored tights
And now that my pockets are empty and I feel sick, like I’ve eaten too much candy, I need to get to work. Work, work, work!!! Design, design, design.

Surrender
To do list:
-Peruse the neat links found on this lovely blog. How do people find time to pack blogs with so much juicy content? Maybe I’m just lazy.
-Get fabbed out by my favorite stylists on my day off from work tomorrow (with dorky hair collage in hand).
-Design a bookmark.
-Donate some tragically ill-fitting excellent boots and pumps from the 70s. Go to Painted Bird and attempt to fill emptiness with something more fitting.
-Attend volunteer training for my work with the SF Ballet – Library exhibit, which I am excited for because I am a nerd.
-Skip immediately on over to Rickshaw Stop for Club Loaded to see Lady Miss Kier (of Deee-lite fame! you heard me!)
-Work in Library Book Bay. Wear dress and tights as per usual.
-Hit up a nice little housewarming party.
-Go to Mezzanine for Autechre show.
-SLEEP
